Incentivized Testnet Rewards airdrop is complete
XNT plus the 6% staked yield went to the original withdraw addresses from the genesis airdrop.

X1 has finished paying the people who ran validators on its incentivized testnet. The payout went out on 5 October, to the same withdraw addresses that received the 10% genesis airdrop, and it included a 6% staked yield on top.
What it is
Before mainnet, X1 ran an incentivized testnet: operators ran validators on testnet and earned credits for keeping them up and voting. Those credits turned into an XNT allocation. Part of it, 10%, was airdropped at mainnet genesis. This payout is the rest, plus the yield that allocation would have earned if it had been staked.
By the numbers
X1's public rewards API shows the final state. Balances were frozen at 00:00 UTC on 6 October, slot 83,892,773.
- 588 accounts were paid, about 5.42 million XNT in total.
- About 334,900 XNT of that is the staked yield.
- The genesis airdrop before it paid about 688,500 XNT to 793 recipients.
- About 494,800 XNT was forfeited and about 615,800 XNT could not be routed to a valid address.
Why it's good for X1
Paying testnet operators in full, on the date promised, matters more than the amount. X1's validator set was built on testnet, and many of those operators now run mainnet nodes. Delivering what was promised gives every future incentive program X1 announces credibility, and it puts XNT in the hands of the people most invested in running the network.
What to watch
- Payments went to the original withdraw address. If you have lost access to that wallet, the XNT is there but you cannot move it.
- The formula weights testnet credits, so two operators who ran for the same time can have received different amounts.

- Consider staking it. The Bootstrap Bonus pays extra on validator stake until 1 November.
